When: 1:00 – 3:00 Pm Saturdays for 8 weeks starting January 9, 2026

Learn to tie your own flies and enjoy a new part of the sport of fly fishing.

Our 8 week fly-tying class is limited to 12 students and is designed for anyone who is new to fly tying or wants to build their skills.

Each week, we’ll work on different fly patterns, starting with the basics and gradually introducing new techniques and materials. You’ll learn at the vise, ask questions, and work alongside other anglers who enjoy being on the water.

What You'll Learn

During the course, you'll learn how to:

• Use the basic tools and materials needed for fly tying.

• Recognize some of the natural foods trout feed on.

• Learn tying techniques that can be used for many different flies.

• Follow fly patterns from books and online resources.

• Tie flies you can take with you on your next day on the water.

Join Us

Class size is limited to 12 students, and registration is open until the class is full.

Come spend some time at the vise, learn a few new skills, and meet other people who enjoy fly fishing and the outdoors.
